Time:                    8:30-9:00 Registration

                              9:00 – 3:00 Program

Cost:                     $15.00 per person covers the expense for materials and lunch

      Credit:                  5 CPDU’s will be provided

                                   Minimum of 10 participants required

About the Workshop

This one-day workshop will provide participants with practical tips on important issues facing general education administrators in the field of special education.  Topics covered will include: special education alphabet soup (FAPE, LRE, MTSS, etc.); child-find; the role of the district designee; discipline; timelines; IDEA vs. 504 and tips to avoid due process. 

Anticipated Outcomes

  1. Increased knowledge and skills of school and district leaders who guide continuous professional development
  2. Deepen participants’ contend knowledge in one or more areas
  3. Address the organization of adults into learning communities whose goals are aligned with those of their schools and districts
